Reeling Rockets Have ‘Lost Their Swagger’

Last season, the Houston Rockets had the NBA’s best record. Now they are 1-5 and struggling to find their mojo.

The Rockets are at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, tied for the fewest wins in the league.

They hit their lowest point with a 104-85 rout by the Portland Trail Blazers at the Toyota Center.

“Right now, we’re playing like crap,” said Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni. “We’re just not playing well. You know, I don’t have a whole lot of answers for you now. We’ll look, and we’ll fight it.”
With reigning MVP James Harden stranded on the bench due to a strained left hamstring, the season could yet get worse before it gets better.
