Anthony Davis Gives Pelicans the Bird – All-NBA Forward Wants out

Anthony Davis will snub a contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans and has requested a trade, his agent Rich Paul told ESPN.

“Anthony wants to be traded to a team that allows him the chance to win consistently and compete for a championship,” said Paul.

If Davis does not re-sign a possible five-year, $240 million contract extension this summer he is eligible to be a free agent in the summer of 2020.

Davis, who is averaging 29.3 points and 13.3 rebounds per game, is currently sidelined with a fractured index finger.
