Nuggets land Harrington
Denver, CO - The Denver Nuggets have reached agreement with free agent forward Al Harrington on a five-year, $34 million contract, according to multiple media reports.

Harrington averaged 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists last season for the New York Knicks. He also shot over 34 percent from three-point range.

Over his 12-year NBA career, he has averaged 14.1 points and 5.8 rebounds, also spending time with Indiana, Atlanta and Golden State.

Knicks sign Raymond Felton
The New York Knicks have signed Raymond Felton to a multi-year deal. Felton averaged 12.1 point and 5.6 assists in 80 starts for the Bobcats last season. Felton also dramatically improved his shooting; he shot 46% from the field and 38.5% from beyond the arc last season, with both marks representing career highs.

The Knicks obviously need a point guard with speed and playmaking ability to make Mike D'Antoni's system work, and Felton can provide both of those things. The Knicks will have to hope that Felton's improved jump shot wasn't just a mirage last season -- with Amar'e Stoudemire for a pick-and-roll partner, teams are going to dare Felton to beat them from the outside.

Point guard prospect Toney Douglas had a promising rookie season last year, but the Knicks apparently want someone more experienced to run the team as they attempt their return to NBA relevance.

Milwaukee bringing back Salmons
Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee Bucks and guard John Salmons have agreed to a new contract.

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, it is a multi-year deal thought to be for five years and $40 million.

Acquired in a trade with Chicago last season, he played in 30 games, starting 28, for Milwaukee and averaged 19.9 points, 3.3 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals.

He was a key part in the Bucks' late-season push for a playoff berth and posted 17.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.7 boards and 1.4 steals in a seven-game loss to Atlanta in the first round.

Over eight seasons in the NBA, Salmons has career averages of 9.7 points, 2.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 601 games with Milwaukee, Chicago, Sacramento and Philadelphia.

Bucks reach deal with Gooden
Sunnyvale, CA - The Milwaukee Bucks have reached an agreement on a multi-year contract with forward Drew Gooden, just hours after the NBA free agency period began.

According to Yahoo! Sports, Gooden has agreed to a five-year, $32 million contract.

Gooden has played for eight teams since entering the league in 2002, averaging 11.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game for his career.
